PRO SKINS TOUR

SEASON V

at Sterling Golf Club

Sponsored by The Steve WenPetren Golf Academy

Welcome to our 5 year anniversary season of the Pro Skins Tour. An all Scratch Tournament Series designed to test your game and get tournament tough. Throughout the Season we will track your Scoring Average, Birdie Average, Total Skins, Victories and Money Won.

This year we will once again featuring the "Fedex Cup" Style Points Playoff System with the top eight golfers battling it out for the Cup in a 27 Hole Playoff. There is a Trophy up for grabs along with a $500.00 Cash Prize. The Steve WenPetren Golf Academy is putting up the $500.00 Season Ending Prize for the Tour Champion and the Champions Cup.  Weekly news articles will mention the sponsors name throughout the whole season.

Cup Points are earned two ways...

1.      Skin Points: Points = #Players / 2 * #Skins (20 Players = 10 Points per skin, 10 Players = 5 Points per skin, etc.)

2.      Scoring Points: Players will get one of the following point totals

a.       If entered into the Stableford (Competition & Participation): Points = (15 * #Total Entrants ^ 0.5 / (Place) ^ 0.5

b.      Not in the Stableford (Medal Play & Participation): You will be ranked according to your score following the last position of Stableford. (Example: 13 Stableford Entrants, Best you can finish not participating in Stableford would be 14th Place.)

To keep the standings close throughout the year, we only count your best 10 weeks of the 20 weeks scheduled. If you play an 11th week your worst week will be dropped. All other stats will be accumulative. This allows for players that can not play each and every week. But still gives a small edge to the players that do.

The 27 Hole Playoff starts with the top EIGHT PLAYERS, they will play Stableford Points for 9 Holes with the top 4 advancing to the next 9 Holes, and ties will go to the higher seed (the more regular season points, the higher the seed). Those four players will compile their points from the first 9 holes and the second 9 holes, with the top two advancing to the final 9 holes, and ties will go to the higher seed. The Winner is the player that has the most points from all 27 holes and will receive the Crystal Cup and $500.00 cash. In case of a tie in the final match the winner will be decided by sudden death playoff.
